The Album "
Wild Horse Crossing", was
an original concept of Dalton's, who move
to the Reno Nevada Highlands in 1998 from
Nashville Tennessee, to benefit the
Virginia Range Wildlife Protection
Association with the sales of a possible
album. Already living in the area was
long time friend, musician and producer Beans Sousa, who at the time
had worked with Lacy since 1980 as a
sideman in Ms. Dalton's touring band.
Sousa along with his friend and producer
musician Steve Swinford,
showed interest in the Wild Horse concept
and from there Lacy asked Sousa and
Swinford to write and CO-Produce ' Wild
Horse Crossing." Two months after
starting the Wild Horse project, 35 wild
horses were found shot and killed near
the Reno Highlands not far from Lacy's
own back porch. It wasn't long before
other musical residents of the Reno area
showed there support by submitting songs
and time to the Wild Horse Crossing
project. John Tyson, Singer Songwriter
